Registration


Q: How do I register?
A: At the log in screen, select the “Register” button
  1. Answer and submit all prompted questions.
  2. You will see a confirmation screen. Upon successful completion of your registration, you will receive a welcome e-mail.
Q: What makes up the User ID?

A: User ID is the name you use for identification when accessing our Website. The User ID is selected by you at the time of registration. Your User ID must be a minimum of three (3) characters. It cannot be all numeric, cannot start with the @ symbol and only the following characters are allowed:  - , . , 0-9 , @ , A-Z , _ , a-z

Q: Are there rules for passwords?

A: Your password is case-sensitive, and must be at least six (6) characters long. No special characters are permitted, except @, - , _, . and space.  You can alter your password at any time. Please safeguard your password and do not share it with anybody. Please note, you will not be asked for your password in the help desk process. 

Q: What is a SSO?

A: Genworth Financial Single Sign On (SSO) is a company-wide security and navigation feature designed to allow users to securely sign on and move between Genworth Financial's Websites.

Q: What if I forgot my password?

A. If you forget your password, click on "Forgot Password" on the home page. Enter your User ID and follow the instructions. Alternatively, you may call the Web support help desk at 800 404.2956 from 8a.m. - 8p.m. ET Monday-Friday, and a representative will be able to help you reset your password.

Q: What should I do if I forgot my User ID?

A: If you forget your User ID, please call 800 404.2956 from 8a.m. - 8p.m. ET Monday-Friday. The representative will help re-activate your account. If you re-activate your User ID, you will not need to register again.

Q: How can I change my password?

A: Log in with your User ID and password. Click "Update Profile", then "Personal Information". Fill in the new password and click "Submit".

Q: What computer system and screen resolution should I use to access Genworth Financial Pro?

Most current PC’s on the market will be acceptable. Please set your screen resolution as follows for the best viewing: 800 x 600 (640 x 480 resolution users should still be able to view all content, but vertical and horizontal scroll bars may need to be used).

Q: What Internet browsers should I use to access Genworth Financial Pro?

A: Genworth Financial Pro is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0 and Netscape Navigator 7.0x.

A: The regularly scheduled system maintenance windows for Genworth Financial Pro are Monday – Friday 1a.m. - 5a.m. ET and Sunday from 1a.m. – 10a.m. ET.  During this time, the system may be unavailable.  There is no specific outage window.

Q: Is there limited availability during the scheduled maintenance window?

A: It is possible that during this time you may be temporarily unable to access our systems.
